Have you ever experienced a burnout?
In this episode, I talk about how to utilize self-awareness to navigate through the stages of a burnout and share some tips on preventing burnouts.
Burnout is a general description of the health of the person and could have been caused by an emotional, mental or physical overload. It is usually accompanied by a lack of drive and productivity as well as physical symptoms, which include but are not limited to headaches, poor blood circulation and constant pressure in the chest.
Now that you know what it is, what are the stages of a burnout?
1. Extreme enthusiasm to achieve a big goal or project.
2. Problems arise that slow us down.
3. We then experience internal and emotional turmoil such as depression, exhaustion and reduce dedication.
4. This leads to a decreased life satisfaction and purpose which has a tremendous effect on our self-confidence.
