Have you found yourself back in a place you swore you’d never return to? Back to a habit, a coping mechanism, or a cycle God already delivered you from?

Relapse feels like backsliding, and it grieves the heart—and the Holy Spirit. Many times, what we use to escape pain becomes the very yoke that keeps us bound. But there is hope. If you run toward Christ, He will restore you.

As Psalm 51 reminds us, there is no restoration without repentance. When we cry out, “Lord, have mercy on me,” God cleanses, renews, and restores the joy of salvation.

Pray this today:
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
