The Correlation between Self-Love and Weight Loss

 

When we talk about weight loss, there is a misconception that if you just eat less and move more, that you will lose weight. The truth is, losing weight is not as hard as losing an ill-mindset causing the weight to come back. How do you adopt new mental philosophies that will help you get on track and stay on track:

  1. How to tell you the right story that will help you lose weight
  2. How to eat to live and not living to eat
  3. Noticing trigger points
  4. Disassociating food with certain emotions and circumstances

Take some time to reflect by asking yourself a couple of questions and writing the answer down in your journal:

  • WHY IS IT THAT I WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT, TONE UP OR GET STRONGER?
  • When I started my journey, what was the trigger that led to that decision?
  • What was the first step I took and how did I feel?
  • When did I get excited to achieve my goals?
  • When did I lose excitement and why did I lose motivation?
  • What are some of the patterns that occurred throughout the process? (When did I start, stop, eat unhealthily..)
  • Did I have professional help or did I wing it?
  • Is this goal still important to me?
  • How can I start over?
